The vine :

With its steep south facing slopes, the Zinnkoepflé hill majestically overlooks the valley situated west of the town of Rouffach. This grand cru vineyards is the highest in Alsace : the altitude reaches 1300 feet. The soil is mainly conchiferous oolitic limestone.

Toasty and spicy, but with tons of golden-fruit character and a slug of exotic aromas, this is a dramatic Alsace dry riesling that pushes the region’s classic style to the limit, but the exciting, lemony acidity keeps it on track at the expressive finish.
